Our high-quality geomembranes are offered in either high-density or low-density polyethylene and are prefabricated or able to be fabricated on-site, depending on what your project requires. EnviroGuard® liner products provide an impermeable layer, ideal for preventing reservoirs and retention ponds from leaching water as well as protecting berms and embankments. This polyethylene layer also acts as an effective rain cover and vapor barrier. EnviroGuard® pipe products contribute to water erosion control by transferring fluids from susceptible areas in our reliable and custom-fabricated HDPE constructions. With the increase of shipping by rail, an additional track was needed to be constructed alongside an existing track that runs through Big Spring, TX. The majority of the subbase in West Texas is a rock/sand mix which left a 2.5 mile section in a low lying area with an extremely poor subbase. The initial solution was to remove the poor subbase material and build back the area. The product used was the EnviroGrid EGA 30 6", which is equivalent to the strength of using 20" of rock by itself. By using EnviroGrid Geocell to reinforce the sub-base, costs for overall construction, infill material, and transportation were significantly reduced for the project, while still providing a solid foundation for the railway track addition.

EnviroGrid® Geocell played a significant role in providing access improvements throughout the Greens Bayou Wetland's utility roadways. It is crucial that these roadways remain accessible through all weather conditions for flood control and wetlands operations.The Greens Bayou Wetland Mitigation Bank (Greens WetBank) is the Harris County Flood District's longest established wetland mitigation bank and consists of 961 acres of permanently protected wetlands. Wetlands Mitigation Banks preserve, enhance, or restore natural resources throughout the permanently protected property. The project consisted of constructing all-weather access roads throughout the Greens Bayou Wetlands.

For over 30 years, Geo Products has manufactured EnviroGrid Geocell to provide solutions for foundation and erosion control issues in every day and the most challenging scenarios.

In base stabilization projects, cross sections for foundations are determined by considering the weight bearing capability of both the rolling course and the sub-base. Generally, the current sub-base and weight of the load determines the height of the cross section needed to support the weight of that load. Because of the cellular confinement technology that EnviroGrid Geocell provides, this cross section is able to be significantly reduced.

EnviroGrid® effectively holds slope cover materials in place, reducing the potential for slope erosion. The EnviroGrid® geocells can be used in slopes as steep as 70° and secured in place by our EnviroClip™ twist anchors or our tendon system. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers developed the first cellular confinement system in the late 1970's as a means to construct roads, airstrips, etc. over soft ground and provide a system that would not be adversely affected by wet weather conditions. EnviroGrid® cellular confinement system has been manufactured since 1990.
